2016 has been a great year for me, all the hard work is slowly paying off and the recognition from my peers is the icing on the cake. Another nomination just came through. I have been nominated as Radio DJ Of The Year in the STYLUS DJ AWARDS.
Sitting at the airport with over 5 hours to spare since I missed my flight and I thought why not take the time to write part 2. To be honest, I didn’t think I was going to have a part 2, actually I don’t even know why I titled the previous article part 1 because I only needed to get something off my chest and I did achieve that after writing the first piece. Oh well, here I am, 6 days later writing again. If you haven’t read part one, please do before you get into this one although its not a continuation.
Its, 4:51 am on a Friday morning and am up thinking what the hell happened to me? That thought came to mind after I saw a photo I uploaded on instagram back in December, 2013. Fresh from campus, I lived in a 2-bedroom apartment in my hometown Kitengela. I slept in one bedroom and had turned the other one into a DJ studio filled with expensive DJ equipment that I saved up for over a long time. I made less money back then, was less popular back then but for some reason I was much happier and more passionate. What happened to me?
